Jurga Petniūnaitė is a patent attorney of European trademarks, patents and designs. She is responsible for representing clients and intellectual property registration  in Lithuanian State Patent Bureau, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and courts.

Education

Jurga Petniūnaitė has gained the Master’s degree at the Vilnius Pedagogical University in the field of chemistry and Master’s of law degree at the Mykolas Romeris University.

In 2002 she obtained the license of a Patent attorney.

In 2007 Jurga Petniūnaitė participated in trainings, organized by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Patent Academy on the aspects of the implementing the EPC 2000. She is appointed to be the national curator of this program.

In June, 2009 Jurga Petniūnaitė finished a course of three training modules and has gained a certificate from European Patent Office appointing her as an official representative of EPO in Lithuania. By this certificate she was delegated to conduct specialized seminars for patent protection specialists, patent attorneys, inventors and representatives of inventors’ rights.

Jurga Petniūnaitė is a member of Lithuanian Association of Patent Attorneys, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the Professional Representatives Institute at the European Patent Institution (EPI).
